The fall season definitely comes with some of the best decor. The colors are so inviting and warm, and also adding in a little spookiness for the holidays is always fun.

Your front step is what should be getting the most attention during the Halloween season! This is probably the time of year that it gets the most attention, and all those kids (and their parents!) are going to see if you put any effort into “spooking” up your porch.

Unfortunately in my current home I don’t have much for a front step – just square concrete steps. But that doesn’t mean I can’t dream of the day I have a beautiful front porch!

Now, nobody likes moving. I mean, the actual MOVING part. Of course getting to be in a new home is usually an exciting experience, but getting all your crap there – that’s the hard part.

This will be our third move in two years, our last being eight months ago. So we’ve definitely learned a thing or two about moving into a new place.

We’ve been apartment living the past few years, so we definitely don’t have as much stuff as an entire house may have, so we may have it a little easier.

But that doesn’t mean we don’t have anything! So far into packing I’ve filled well over 20 boxes, and I’m not even done yet! It’s definitely an exhausting process to do all by yourself, but manageable.

So to save yourself some cash on packers and movers, I’ve got a few tips for ya.

Cute DIY Shelves For The Home

Shelves are one of the greatest way of adding some storage, decor and practicality all at the same time. There are so many different variations you can do for shelves – there’s practically endless possibilities.

Sometimes shelves can be mighty expensive though (even if they’re literally just a piece of wood!).

They can be used in the bathroom for extra storage and a little decor, in the living room to hold photos and books, or in the office for a pop of color and art.

With us moving within the next month, I’m so excited to experiment with our extra space by adding some cute shelving.

I’ve gathered together some awesome DIY shelves from some talented bloggers, in order to save a few bucks but still have some adorable and practical units.
